Ogden Pride seeking volunteers

With just over three weeks until the annual Ogden Pride Festival kicks off, organizers are putting out a heartfelt call for volunteers to help bring the event to life.

Set for Sunday, August 1, this year’s festival promises to be one of the biggest yet, but can’t happen without the helping hands of the community. Ogden Pride is currently in need of at least 200 volunteers to help with everything from set-up and hospitality to youth activities, vendor support, and more.

“Volunteers are truly the heartbeat of Ogden Pride,” organizers said in a statement. “Every year, we rely on the passion and energy of our community to make this event safe, joyful, and welcoming for everyone.”

There are a wide variety of volunteer shifts available throughout the weekend, and perks include:

  • An exclusive Ogden Pride Volunteer T-shirt
  • Name badge and pronouns button
  • Pride swag
  • $10 meal voucher for those volunteering 6+ hours
  • Snacks and refreshments
  • And the chance to be part of one of Northern Utah’s most vibrant celebrations of LGBTQ+ visibility and unity

Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as assignments are being filled daily. One important tip from organizers: make sure to add info@ogdenpride.org to your email contacts, as confirmations and shift info often land in spam folders.

“Whether you can give a few hours or a whole day, your support makes a huge difference,” organizers added. “Let’s make this year unforgettable—together.”
